Celebrations continue after three of Grosvenor House Dubai’s F&B outlets received a rating of ‘three hats’ by the Black Hat Guide.
Dubai, UAE, xx May 2013: Grosvenor House shone bright once again at this year’s prestigious Time Out Restaurant Awards with Rhodes Mezzanine bagging the Best British Restaurant award and Ottomans, the Best MENA Restaurant award. Recognising culinary excellence and diversity throughout Dubai, the annual Time Out Awards follow an intense 12-month deliberation period during which food critics evaluate service, ambience, and quality of different outlets across the city.
Michelin starred Celebrity Chef Gary Rhodes, who was named last year’s Chef Of The Year by What’s On Magazine, now has another accolade to take pride in after this most recent victory of Rhodes Mezzanine which offers the very best of modern British cuisine in the most stunning venue Dubai has to offer. The second of Grosvenor House’s winning outlets, Ottomans, offers guests the finest modern Turkish cuisine with a five star touch by Chef Omer Ozkan Cam. The menu mixes the influences of a multitude of Turkish flavours, creating an eclectic fusion of mouthwatering contemporary dishes designed to tantalise the palate. Ottomans cuisine is, quite simply, as unique and innovative as the restaurant itself.
To add, a number of other outlets including Grosvenor House Dubai’s Kitchen 45, Indego by Vineet, and Toro Toro were highly commended for Best European, Best Indian, and Best Latin American respectively. Empress Night at Embassy Dubai was also highly commended by the Time Out Nightlife Awards 2013 as the Best Ladies’ Night.
The celebrations don’t stop there; three of Grosvenor House Dubai’s food and beverage outlets have also been awarded a ‘three hat’ rating during the 2013 edition of the Black Hat Guide, including Kitchen 45, Indego by Vineet, and Rhodes Mezzanine. Le Royal Méridien Beach Resort + Spa also received three hats for exceptional performance at Maya Modern Mexican Kitchen + Lounge and Rhodes Twenty10.
The Black Hat Guide is a book compiled by the What’s On team who spend all year critiquing more than 1,200 restaurants and creating a short list that honors the best restaurants within the UAE. ‘Black Hats’ are awarded to outlets based on the judges’ overall critique with a rating of ‘Three Hats’ being the highest rating possible. Being awarded this rating is a major achievement for the restaurant industry, chefs, restaurant staff, and restaurateurs.
